The Federation

The USS Voyager (NCC-74656) was a 24th century Federation Intrepid-class starship operated by Starfleet. The vessel was famous for completing a non-scheduled seven-year journey across the Delta Quadrant between 2371 and 2378, which was the first successful exploration of that quadrant by the Federation.

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) was a 23rd century Federation Constitution-class starship operated by Starfleet. In the course of her career, the Enterprise became the most celebrated starship of her time.

One of the most important starships in interstellar history, Enterprise (NX-01) was the culmination of the NX Project. The NX-01 was the first NX-class starship, launched by the United Earth Starfleet in 2151.

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) was a 24th century Federation Galaxy-class starship operated by Starfleet. This was the fifth Federation ship to bear the name Enterprise.

The USS Excelsior (NX-2000, later NCC-2000) was a 23rd century Federation Excelsior-class starship operated by Starfleet. Excelsior was the first ship in her class.

The USS Reliant (NCC-1864) was a 23rd century Federation Miranda-class starship operated by Starfleet. In 2285, the Reliant was commanded by Captain Clark Terrell.

The USS Thunderchild (NCC-63549) was a 24th century Federation Akira-class starship operated by Starfleet. In the year 2373, the Thunderchild was a member of the fleet that fought against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001.

The USS Defiant (NX-74205) was a Federation Defiant-class escort (or battleship) in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. When commissioned in 2370, the Defiant was the prototype for this new class.

The USS Equinox (NCC-72381) was a Federation starship, a Nova-class heavy scout in service to Starfleet in the 24th century. Equinox was launched in 2370 under the command of Captain Rudolph Ransom.

The "USS Dauntless" was an alien starship disguised as a Federation Dauntless-class starship that was in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. Allegedly, the Dauntless was the prototype for its class of starship.

The USS Stargazer (NCC-2893) was a Constellation-class cruiser. The vessel was commanded by Jean-Luc Picard from 2333 to 2355. Stargazer was a participant in the Battle of Maxia Zeta in 2355. Daimon Bok returned the starship to the Federation in 2364.

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E) was a 24th century Federation Sovereign-class starship operated by Starfleet. This ship was the sixth Federation starship to bear the name Enterprise.

The USS Honshu (NCC-60205) was a 24th century Federation Nebula-class starship operated by Starfleet. In 2374, the Honshu was responsible for transporting former Cardassian leader Dukat to stand trial for war crimes at Starbase 621. Captain Benjamin Sisko was also aboard and was scheduled to testify at the trial.

The USS Prometheus (NX-59650/NX-74913) was a 24th century Federation Prometheus-class starship operated by Starfleet. Prometheus was an experimental prototype designed for deep space tactical assignments and equipped with regenerative shields, ablative hull armor, and multi-vector assault mode.

The Danube-class, also known as a Runabout-class, was a type of Federation runabout in operation during the latter half of the 24th century. All runabouts assigned to Deep Space 9 were named after rivers on Earth.

The Oberth class was a small Federation starship used primarily by Starfleet and civilian scientists alike, as a scout class and science vessel, from the late-23rd to the late-24th century.

The Delta Flyer was a specially designed Starfleet shuttlecraft constructed by the crew of the USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant in 2375. The vessel was designed to handle environments that would be too hazardous for a standard shuttlecraft and to be slightly larger than the average shuttle, the crew having acknowledged that standard shuttles were of little use in the increasingly hostile and unexplored Delta Quadrant.

The Excelsior-class was a type of Federation starship used by Starfleet from the late 23rd century through the late 24th century. It was the backbone of Starfleet for nearly a century, making it one of the longest serving starship designs, and one of the most recognizable ships in the fleet.

The Olympic-class hospital ship was a class of starship in service with Starfleet during the late 24th century. The Olympic-class served the Federation as early as the 2370s. In an alternate future, the Olympic-class was utilized primarily for medical emergencies.

The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-C) was a 24th century Federation Ambassador-class starship operated by Starfleet. This was the fourth Federation starship to bear the name Enterprise. In 2344, Captain Rachel Garrett was the commanding officer of this ship.

Ships of this class saw action at the Battle of Sector 001 in 2373, where several were lost. Several other Steamrunner-class starships were involved in the Dominion War, and participated in Operation Return in 2374 and the second Battle of Chin'toka in 2375.

The USS Yeager (NCC-61947) was a 24th century Federation Saber-class starship operated by Starfleet. In 2373, the Yeager fought against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001.

The USS Relativity (NCV-474439-G) was a 29th century Federation Wells-class starship operated by Starfleet. This timeship was commissioned at the University of Copernicus, and was under the command of Captain Braxton.

The SS Botany Bay was a DY-100 class sleeper ship built on Earth in the late 20th century. The Botany Bay was launched from Earth in 1996 under the command of Khan Noonien Singh.

The Norway-class was a type of Federation starship in service with Starfleet during the 2370s. Armament included a phaser emitter mounted on the dorsal bow.

The Antares (NCC-501) was a 23rd century Antares-type Federation starship operated by Starfleet. In 2266, Captain Ramart was the commanding officer of this ship.

The USS Raven (NAR-32450) was a 24th century Federation Raven-type exploration vessel. On her last mission, the Raven had three crewmembers: the exobiologists Magnus and Erin Hansen and their daughter, Annika.
