Eaglemoss EMSTCON02 Star Trek Federation Luna Class Starship - USS Titan NCC-80102 [With Collector Magazine]
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."
- Science Officer Spock
The USS Titan (NCC-80102) was a Luna-class Federation starship in Starfleet service, launched in the year 2379 under the command of Captain William T. Riker. The Titan, like the other ships in the Luna class, was named for a moon in the Sol system, Titan. This new series of vessels had one of the most diverse crews in fleet history - fewer than 15% of the Titan crew members were Human.
In September 2385, Captain Riker was promoted to Rear Admiral, and in 2386, Christine Vale was promoted to Captain and assigned as the ship's permanent commanding officer, after having served as its acting captain since Riker's promotion.
Pictured here is a diecast replica of the Federation's Luna class starship, USS Titan NCC-80102.

Historical Account: "Petition for Addition" - It was never canonically revealed what type of ship the Titan was supposed to be, and it was never shown on screen. In non-canon source, the supplement Starships released for the Decipher Star Trek Roleplaying Game states the Titan was a brand-new Prometheus-class vessel. In the novel series Star Trek: Titan, it was stated that the Titan was not the first ship of its class, with that honor going to the pathfinder of the class, the USS Luna, and that all Luna-class ships were named for moons in the Sol system (in Titan's case, a moon of Saturn). The novels also give the ship's registry number as NCC-80102.
In a rare exception, the class and registry of the Titan were referenced in the fourth edition of the Star Trek Encyclopedia (Vol. 2, M-Z, p. 401). Included with the entry, there was an image of the Titan.
