Eaglemoss EMST0004A Star Trek Terran Empire NX Class Starship - Mirror Universe ISS Enterprise NX-01 [With Collector Magazine] "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."
- Science Officer Spock

The ISS Enterprise (NX-01) was a Terran NX-class battle cruiser that was in service to Starfleet in the mid-22nd century.

Enterprise was the flagship of the Terran fleet, commanded by Maximilian Forrest. It fell under the jurisdiction of Admiral Black, who personally "recommended" several crew members to Enterprise, including Commander Charles Tucker.

Before its final mission, Enterprise had engaged a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, a Rigelian scout ship, and a Xindi fleet. It also bombarded the surface of an unknown planet.

In 2155 Enterprise departed from Gorlan Station to rendezvous with the assault fleet to which it had been assigned, as part of an ongoing war against a rebellion within the Empire. En route, however, Enterprise's first officer, Commander Jonathan Archer, staged a mutiny, taking command of the ship and imprisoning Forrest in the brig. Archer then took Enterprise to the Vintaak system, where the Tholians were holding a captured Starfleet vessel from a parallel universe and a century into the future: the USS Defiant.

In order to enter Tholian space undetected, Archer ordered Tucker to install a Suliban cloaking device, which Enterprise had in storage. Commander T'Pol, however, sabotaged the cloak and disabled internal sensors to free Captain Forrest. Retaking control of the ship, they soon found that Archer had encrypted the helm controls with a random code, and their course could not be altered.

Archer was put in the agony booth for ten hours as punishment for his actions. However, Fleet Admiral Gardner ordered Forrest to continue Archer's mission and allowed him to explain what the mission was. In a staff briefing, Archer explained that the Tholians had detonated a tri-cobalt warhead inside the gravity well of a dead star, which created an interphasic rift through which the Defiant traveled. Under new orders from Starfleet Command, the mission continued and Forrest used the cloaking device Tucker had installed.

Upon arrival in the Vintaak system, they found the Defiant inside a Tholian asteroid dock built into an asteroid-moon in orbit around a gas giant. Most of the Enterprise senior staff beamed to the ship, minus Forrest. A Tholian which was being held prisoner on board Enterprise managed to transmit a signal, revealing Enterprise's locations to the Tholians in the area. Many Tholian ships converged in a strategic pattern around the cloaked Enterprise and deployed an an energy web, trapping Enterprise. Forrest's attempt to break through the barrier revealed Enterprise's exact location, which allowed the Tholians to begin their attack. Enterprise began experiencing heavy damage, and eventually Forrest ordered everyone to abandon ship, staying behind to buy them time. Many of the escape pods were able to get free of the web, but Enterprise was destroyed by an antimatter containment breach with Forrest still on board.

Historical Account: "The Terran Empire" - The Terran Empire was the repressive interstellar government dominated by the Terrans from Earth in the mirror universe. The Empire ruled by terror, with its Imperial Starfleet acting as its iron fist. In Starfleet, officers promoted themselves by killing superiors that did not follow the rules of the Empire. Torture was a common form of interrogation. The Empire was the counterpart of the prime universe United Earth and the United Federation of Planets governments.

In 2155 Commander Jonathan Archer stated that the Empire had existed for "centuries" and thus the Empire can be traced back to at least 1955, suggesting that it existed on Earth, perhaps as a political party or movement before it became an interstellar empire.

By the 2150s, the Terran Empire had already conquered the Vulcans, Denobulans, Andorians, Aenars, Orions, and Tellarites and had launched attacks against the Klingons, Rigelians, and Xindi. The flagship of the Empire, the ISS Enterprise, under the command of Captain Maximilian Forrest, had a much more racially-diverse crew than its regular universe counterpart, with numerous Vulcans and Tellarites serving as crew members.

Due to the rapid initial expansion made possible by the captured Vulcan technology, The Empire's hold on its territories was initially weak. By 2155, some of the worlds conquered by the Terrans were beginning to rebel against Terran rule, leading to a long-running conflict and after a disastrous defeat at Tau Ceti the Empire came to the brink of collapse. Propaganda, however, conveyed the message that things were going in the Empire's favor and that the war would be over soon.

In that year, the USS Defiant, a Federation ship launched in the 23rd century of a parallel universe, was reported in Tholian space. The first officer of the ISS Enterprise, Commander Archer, reviewed the reception of this distress call and proposed a bold surgical strike at the asteroid base at which the Tholians were keeping the Defiant. Archer's proposal was quickly rejected by Forrest, causing Archer to mutiny against his captain and take control of Enterprise to retrieve the Defiant so its technology could be utilized against the rebellion. Enterprise arrived and dispatched a boarding party to gain all information they could about the ship, and destroy it to prevent the Tholians from being able to use it. Unfortunately, during the retrieval operation, the Tholians attacked Enterprise and destroyed it, stranding the boarding party aboard the Defiant.

Following the destruction of the ISS Enterprise and the death of Captain Forrest, Commander Archer and his away team commandeered the USS Defiant. They proceeded to destroy the Tholian hangar in which the ship was being held and rescued a number of former Enterprise crew members, including Hoshi Sato, after apparent consideration of leaving their comrades stranded. Archer made a rendezvous with the ISS Avenger, the flagship of Admiral Black. Archer vaporized the admiral and took command of both vessels.

However this coincided with Commander T'Pol's and Crewman Soval's mutiny of the non-Human crew members on board the Avenger and attacked the Defiant in hopes of destroying it. They were destroyed after Commander Charles Tucker reinitialized the power systems that Phlox had attempted to disable. Commander Archer, acting as captain, then set a direct course for Earth, where he intended to declare himself Emperor of the Terran Empire. However, Hoshi Sato poisoned him with the assistance of his bodyguard Travis Mayweather. The two then took control of the Defiant, and upon arriving at Earth, Sato declared herself Empress.
